We’re not sure if you’ve heard, but something’s been going around. We’re told it’s some sort of 24-hour bug and it’s forecasted to be vicious. Pathologists are unfortunately predicting the epidemic to peak on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
In that spirit, we ask you to plan your "sick" day in advance to join us at Plattekill Mountain on January 31, 2018, where we will be renting the entire mountain! Yes – you heard correctly. We will have our own private mountain for the day – just for Ivy Ski Club members and their invited guests. To ensure a truly unique private mountain experience, we plan to cap attendance at no more than 75. (For information about the skiing at Plattekill – one of our all-time favorite mountains and the "Powder Capital of the Catksills" – click here).
Plattekill owner and ISC member Laszlo Vajtay will be joining us for the day as our host. If the snow is deep, you’d be well-advised to follow him into the trees for a little unmarked tour…We also suggest not missing a few of his stories in the bar afterwards.
The cost will be $70 for members and $85 for guests and includes both your lift ticket and a surprise gift (F&B is a la carte). Please note that all guests must be accompanied by a member and members may bring up to three (3) guests.
